This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at http://theharshcouch.com/thc/2015-02-24/
On the discussion of assassinations at the front end of the podcast, my dad recommended Terminate With Extreme Prejudice by Richard Belfield to me a few weeks ago. The book covers the history of assassination as an arm of politics.

Abebooks sells second hand and unsold inventory books, usually at much lower prices than Amazon. I’ve bought >50 books from them and the quality varies from a little worn to brand new. For the slightly worn books, the wear makes it look like you’ve actually read the book, which is useful for people who acquire books faster than they can read them.
Amazon owns Abebooks, so it’s all filthy lucre for Bezos.
